About Cierra
Cierra McKenzie wants to help start a conversation where peace is a top priority again; a space where the God-given desires of the heart take center stage again.
As a long-time poet and fairly new Christian lifestyle blogger, she’s spent most of her career on the stage in Baylor University’s Student Union Building while completing her undergraduate degree, as well as onstage at her home church of Compass Christian church in Colleyville, TX
When she’s not writing poetry or blog posts, you can find her working hard at being a godly wife to her husband of 10 months and figuring out how to make a decent pork loin.

Courtney, I was so encouraged by your talk at a MOPS conference (maybe 2 years ago?) that I bought your book, In this House we will Giggle, and my girlfriend and I have *tried* our best to go through your book month-by-month to implement just one activity each month. So do-able. But I’d love to go through it again (because life happens and I did better in some months than others), and use these Virtue Cards! I have your ABC scripture cards, and we’re memorizing our way through them (b/c God’s Word is a treasure, I’m giving my kids a coin for each verse they memorize that they’ll be able to use in a *store* at the end of the summer). I love our church’s AWANA program, but I love here that we memorize the *same* verses together. Anyways, had no idea about the Virtue Cards and I’m so excited! Would love to use them once we finish the ABC Scripture cards. I was *beyond* excited to find this podcast (through SKG’s post on the “For Girls Like You” magazine, which somehow lead me to the podcast). Thank you!!!
Thank you Courtney for all you do in creating resources to help moms. I am loving your new podcast! I bought In This House We Will Giggle last year. I am writing the scripture for each month on the bathroom mirror in my girls bathroom and we are trying to do some of the activities too. I’m trying to walk out a life lived for Christ daily and praying for Jesus to bring other Christian moms into my girls lives to speak truth to them (because heaven knows that another mom can speak the same exact words to my girls that I can and they will believe the other moms and not even hear me).
Loving the podcasts so far and really enjoyed hearing a daughter’s perspective today. Thanks for sharing Cierra with us!
Wow! This is so awesome! I had my first daughter at 17 and I have walked with the Lord trying to raise my four children to know and love the Lord and am so blessed to hear others coming from that same launching point and hear more testimony of Gods faithfulness to be a husband and a father to those without. He is so faithful! Thank you for sharing the hope we have because of Christ! He IS a good, good Father 💗
